VivoCity Retail and Lifestyle Centre

On 7 October 2006, after much anticipation, VivoCity was finally opened. VivoCity is a fantastic retail and lifestyle precint. Shoppers could expect a shopping precint that is modern, stimulating and bubbling with energy and vitality.

VivoCity has 1.5 million square feet of gross floor area and 1.1 million square feet of retail space. It has outdone the most established shopping centres such as Suntec City and Ngee Ann City in terms of size. Suntec was the largest prior to VivoCity's opening. VivoCity is not just another shopping centre. Itwas designed by the renowned Japanese architect Toyo Ito. The cost of the whole development was S$417 million.

VivoCity also houses the HarbourFront terminal of the Sentosa Express monorail. Nearby is the Cruise Centre where the world's largest cruise liners call.

In the shopping precint, you will find international retail names such as Toys "R" Us, 7-Eleven, as well as local supermarkets and pharmacies. The new hypermart, called VivoMart, is connected by its own travelator and sells imported gourmet food from the US, Japan, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Two giant food courts awaits the shoppers— a 2,200 square metre Kopitiam Group facility in Basement 2 and another spread over 2,500 square metres run by the Food Junction.

Golden Village Multiplex inside the VivoCity is the biggest and the most luxurious cinema in Singapore This new, state-of-the-art 15-plex occupies a stunning 90,000 sq feet of space, has 2,173-seats. GV VivoCity has in total 15 screens.
