Singapore History Museum
The Singapore History Museum is a good place to delve into the history of Singapore. The Museum was borne out of a long and often uneven path. She was initiated as a double entity, Raffles Library and Museum, in 1887 by the Governor of the Straits Settlements , Sir Frederick Weld.
 
Singapore Art Museum
Visitors to the SAM can expect to find an interactive, living centre for art, with advanced museum facilities. Its 10,000-square metre floor space includes 14 full climate-controlled galleries, a reference library, an auditorium, a multi-purpose hall, a museum shop, courtyards and a café, all together ensure a quality experience for visitors. Since its opening, the Museum has been stimulating the cultural environment of Singapore and continues to do so with breathtaking shows and exciting programmes.
 
The Arts House @ the Old Parliament House
The two-storey Neo-Palladian building was completed in 1827, and reopened on 26th March 2004 as The Arts House at The Old Parliament. Of its' many rooms, Poole Associates was commissioned to design custom furnishings for 4 of these historical rooms. This is the ultimate place for romantic dining.

Parliament House
The Parliament House of Singapore is a public building and cultural landmark and houses the Parliament of Singapore. It is located in the Civic District of the Downtown Core with Singapore's central business district. Within its vicinity is Raffles Place, which lies across from Singapore River, and the Supreme Court's building across the road. The building was designed to represent a contemporary architectural expression of stateliness and authority. The prism-shaped top, designed by the late former president Ong Teng Cheong, was similarly a modernist take on the traditional dome.

Haw Par Villa
Established in 1937 as one of the 3 private residences of the Aw brothers and taking 2 years to build the original site, this historic landmark is now one of the most scenic sites in Singapore.

Singapore River
Fall in love with century-old go-downs and shop houses restored to their original grandeur and rejuvenated into some of the most enchanting and chic quay side dining and entertainment destinations. When walking along the riverside, look out for the “People of the River” sculptures placed strategically at different spots. Or you could bumboat ride down the river. These boats leave from the boat quay and go along the river giving a different view of downtown. Going under the bridges instead of over them certainly gives another view. It also goes out to the Merlion fountain. The narration is recorded, so you can understand everything.

Elgin Bridge
This was built in 1925 and named after the then Governor-General of India, Lord Elgin. As this was the first bridge to be built across the River, the two roads leading to it were named North Bridge Road and South Bridge Road, accordingly. Elgin Bridge served to link the Chinese community on the south side of the River to the Indian merchants of the High Street on the north side. The area around Elgin Bridge had been a popular site for swimming and there have been many tragic stories of youngsters who, not realising how shallow the waters were, had leapt off this bridge to their deaths.

Labrador Park
Labrador Nature Reserve contains the only rocky sea-cliff on the main island of Singapore that is accessible to the public for recreation, education and scientific research. Labrador was originally gazetted as a nature reserve under the old Nature Reserves Ordinance. More recently, the 10 ha coastal secondary vegetation and the rocky shore have been gazetted as a Nature Reserve since 1 January 2002. Labrador Nature Reserve has a rich variety of flora and fauna that will delight nature lovers.
